WORKSHOP: "ByAnnie Project Bag" with Laurie Biundo (IN-PERSON) (May 16, 2026)

Do you have more projects than you know where to put? Make these project bags to keep everything neat and tidy!

Learn how to sew with vinyl and put in zippers. If you can sew a quilt top, you can make these bags.

There are four sizes of this pattern. You can make the small, medium, large or jumbo size, or modify to your liking. Please come to the workshop with your fabric and vinyl cut to size. You will be able to complete two bags if you come with your pieces pre-cut.

WORKSHOP: "Mondo Bag" with Kris Cisse (IN-PERSON) (June 20, 2026)

“If only I had room in my bag for one more thing..." You'll never say that again once you make a Mondo Bag!

Learn all the tips and tricks needed to use the QuiltSmart printed interfacing panels to make the Mondo Bag. You will have perfectly-matched seams and a roomy, comfortable bag using the QuiltSmart grid interfacing technique.

The bag bottom is about 10 inches square with 17-inch tall sides. There is also a Midi Bag pattern with an 8-inch square bottom and 12-inch tall sides. Kris can guide you in the same workshop session if you prefer to make the smaller size bag

There are several ways to approach the Mondo Bag. You can use almost any pre-cut to have a cohesive color scheme (Mini Charm Packs, Jelly Roll Strips, 5” Charms, Fat Quarters). You can also raid your stash or scrap bin to come up with your textile plan. The supplies list has the yardage requirements for each of these pre-cut possibilities, plus for the fabric needed for the lining and straps.

This workshop is suitable for a confident beginner to experienced sewists.

If you do not already have the pattern, Kris will have Mondo Bag patterns and printed interfacing for purchase at the wholesale rate of $10, as well as medium weight fusible interfacing (1.25 yards) for $5, payable to her on the day of the workshop. If you have the Midi Bag pattern/grid you can choose to make that, but patterns for that size will not be for sale in class.

Lunch will be served at no additional cost.

WORKSHOP: "Appliqué Cats" with Daisy Woodhams (IN-PERSON) (July 18, 2026)

Come have some fun with appliqué using Misty Fuse, rather than traditional appliqué products. Misty Fuse is a sheer lightweight fusible. This workshop will focus on techniques that are unique to to this product.

A packet of four kitty patterns will be available along with Misty Fuse. It’s your choice of which kitty to make. Make them your own with lively fabrics, different expressions, or even embellishments. Appliqué has no boundaries, so let your imagination soar!

This workshop is suitable for sewists of all levels, but you should be familiar with your machine, be able to sew a 1/8" seam, and be comfortable sewing with other than just a straight stitch.
