The pattern choice for this quilt was happenstance.  Two guild members were "pattern surfing" when they came across it on the Missouri Star Quilting Company website with an accompanying tutorial by Jenny Doan.  The design offered ease of cutting and construction with an infinite number of design options.

The designers, Material Girlfriends, are twin sisters, members of a neighboring quilt guild, teachers, lecturers, designers, and quilting enthusiasts. They are the featured artists at GQCCC's 2024 Quilt Show.
