REASONS TO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL QUILT SHOP

When you support your local quilt shop, you are keeping this lovely art form alive in your community. The big-box fabric stores are happy to sell you inexpensive fabric and lots of it, but your local quilt shops will bring out the artist in you. Get to know them! Also, shopping locally supports their ability to bring the newest patterns, colors, notions, and tools available. Still not convinced? See more reasons below:

  • Inspiration! Check out those beautiful quilts on display. They probably have the patterns available too.
  • Advice! Not sure what kind of a border to put on your quilt? No doubt there is a helpful associate who can give you good advice. You will hurry home to work on your project! And bring the finished project back to show it off — they will love to see it!
  • Find new favorites! Quilter’s don’t need to have this one explained!
  • Professional quilting! Many quilt shops do longarm quilting, or can refer you to someone who can.  Watch the machine at work — it is mesmerizing!
  • Buy beautiful fabric! Visiting quilt shops gives you exposure and access to the highest quality fabric.
